Get Help With Food

There are many resources in Lake County for people who need help feeding themselves or their families. Food pantries throughout the County are working diligently to feed those in need.

The Northern Illinois Food Bank runs innovative programs and works each day to ensure that no one in their 13-county region goes hungry. The Food Bank partners with more than 900 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and youth and senior feeding programs to provide nutritious food and resources to residents struggling with food security.

Many farmers markets in Lake County accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) as well as Women Infant and Children (WIC) Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) vouchers. Click here to see a list of farmers markets that accept WIC.
